General Information:
This 523 acre stewardship sale in the Wynoochee watershed is one of the largest projects the Collaborative has worked on in partnership with Olympic National Forest. In the spring of 2023, consulting foresters at Resilient Forestry installed pre-harvest monitoring plots to track the change in ecology following the harvest. When restoration thinning is complete, these “plantation stands” of 40-50 year old trees will begin to develop late successional characteristics resulting in healthier trees, better wildlife habitat, and more biodiversity.
