Queets Corner

Sold in 2020, The Olympic Forest Collaborative provided support with presale planning, thinning prescription, monitoring protocols, and field layout for this stewardship sale of 60 year old stands in the Queets watershed. Multiple culvert removals will be included in the project, and several sections of no longer needed roads will be decommissioned to improve habitat quality.

This project was conducted in partnership with the Department of Natural Resources’ Good Neighbor Authority program, an initiative that adds expertise and capacity to Olympic National Forest’s timber and restoration programs.
