Staffing Update (3/19/24)

Farewell and Thanks to Olivia Awbrey

The Olympic Forest Collaborative is sad to say farewell to Olivia Awbrey who served as our Coordinator since September 2021. Olivia was just the second, and longest serving, coordinator for the Collaborative. During her more than two years as coordinator, she has greatly increased our effectiveness supporting our bi-weekly collaborative calls, public meetings, field tours and retreats. She has made significant improvements to our website and has served as the point person for contacts with the Olympic National Forest and Washington Departments of Natural Resources. She will be missed but we are excited to see her pursuing an M.S. in Environmental Science at Portland State University in the next step in her career in forest health management and ecological restoration.

Welcome to Michele Canale

With Olivia Awbrey’s transition to the next adventure, the Olympic Forest Collaborative is excited to welcome Michele Canale as the Coordinator. Michele moved to Port Angeles in 2008, and has been working in the natural resource field since she moved here, most recently working with the North Olympic Land Trust. She would love to hear from you, and can be reached at OFCCoordinatorMC@gmail.com.
